Curtis Alvin Vanosdale, age 87, of Lenoir City was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on August 26, 2023. Curt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He spent his life trucking and eventually retired from TVA Bull Run Steam Plant. He loved his family, cattle, canning beans, the Atlanta Braves and eating anything sweet. Curt achieved the honor of 32nd degree Mason and was a current member of Tennessee Masonic Lodge #204. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his parents, Theodore "Doe" & Syvella Vanosdale; brothers, Tom Vanosdale (Edith) and Wayne Vanosdale; brother in law, Lonnie Atkins.
Curt is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda Vanosdale and two children: son, Randy Vanosdale and wife Micki and daughter, Cindy Williams and husband Mike; grandchildren: Cydney Vanosdale, Amanda Flynn (Adam), Kelcie Vanosdale Harvey (Chase), Chad Griffin, Carol Ann Griffin, Travis Griffin; great grandchildren: Truett and Nolan Flynn; brother, Jim Vanosdale (Martha); sister, Judy Atkins; sister in law, Doris Vanosdale; along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank two angels on Earth, Sharon and Edith, with Caris Healthcare for their exceptional care of Curt.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Curt's life from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 31st at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Tennessee Masonic Lodge #204. Funeral services will follow. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Friday in Edgewood Cemetery in Knoxville for graveside services. Military honors will be conducted by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers: Randy Vanosdale, Mike Williams, Dennis Beeler, Wayne Vanosdale, Terry Vanosdale, Mike Vanosdale, Lynn Palmer and Bryan Vanosdale.
