CWO2 Robert 'Bob' Edmund Buswell, age 89, of Vernon, Florida passed away July 9, 2023, at his home. He was born November 26, 1933, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Tip and Helen Cruden Buswell. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Ann Stephan Butzin and a son, Richard Edward Stephan, II.
Mr. Buswell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Buswell of Vernon, FL; one daughter, Bobbie Buswell of Vernon, FL; one sister, Ellen Collimore of CT; five grandchildren, Richard Buswell, Leah Langley, Daryl Fischer, Michelle Stiger, and Melissa Berthiauma; eleven great-grandchildren, Jane Langley, Elijah Langley, Dakota Fischer, Hope Fischer, Austin Sawtelle, Sierra Sawtelle, Kayleigh Stiger, Abigail Stiger, Myra Berthiauma, Ethan Berthiauma, and Trevor Berthiauma; one great-great-grandchild, Dakota Fischer, II.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Thursday at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 13, 2023, with Navy Military Honors in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
