Cynthia Ann Wahle (Cinnie) age 96, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on August 22, 2025. Cinnie was born on December 5, 1928, to Chester and Helen Wahle. She attended public schools in Topeka before attending Colorado College where she joined the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in biology, Cinnie returned to Topeka. She worked for the Corporation Commission and began a career with the Kansas Railroad Association, where for the next 25 years she researched and followed legislation pertaining to the railroads on both a state and federal level.

After retirement, Cinnie bought a small farm west of Topeka. She would readily admit she found joy sitting on a tractor and mowing the lawn. Yard work and reading were her hobbies during her early retirement years. In her late 80's she moved to Brewster Place. There she learned how to play canasta and enjoyed meeting new friends. During her final years she was cared for with dignity and love by the following people: Evelyn Jones (original caregiver), Christy Haid (Cinnie's primary caregiver in her final years), Michelle Akin, and Barbara Hennemann. The love and compassion of each of these Topekans was remarkable.

Although never marrying, Cinnie had a self-created family of people who loved her spirit, intelligence and sense of humor. Two of her closest friends who pre-deceased her included William H. French and Marianne Bloesch. She is survived by many loved ones, including among others, the following long known friends: Phillip Marchbanks (Portland, OR), Dru Marchbanks and Carol Hoffmann (Corvallis,OR), Howard Marchbanks (Corvallis, OR), S ren Johnson (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Karen Ford (Holton, KS) and Marshall and Annette Hollingsworth (Lenexa, KS).

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm, September 23, 2025, at Brewster Place in Topeka, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cinnie's memory may be made to the Brewster Foundation or the Junior League of Topeka sent in care of Midwest Cremation, 525 SE 37th Street, Topeka, KS 66605.
