Cynthia A. "Cindy" Welch, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 24, 2025, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis with family by her side. She was born on July 12, 1960, to the late David and Sarolta (Beall) Loudermilk. Cindy graduated from Mooresville High School in 1978. She married Kevin Welch on January 6, 2001, and he survives.
Cindy wore several hats in law enforcement having worked as a deputy, dispatcher, and most recently a correctional officer at Reception Diagnostic Center in Plainfield. She attended Mooresville Friends Church for several years.
In her free time, Cindy enjoyed tending to her flower garden, drawing up house plans, and browsing homes on the market for fun. Having grown up on a farm, she found a love for her horses, cats, and dogs. Most importantly, Cindy was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren. She was compassionate, strong, and driven, and will be forever missed by her family.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 24 years, Kevin Welch; daughters, Amanda Haney (CJ), Kaytlyn Welch (Zach), and Dyanne Welch; son, Daniel Welch; grandchildren, Braxton, Aalyiah, Conner, Isabella, Kingston, Abel, Vayda, and Vander; brother, Jeffery Loudermilk (Sheryl); brother-in-law, Joe Welch (Devonda); and sisters-in-law, Linda Boggs (Mark) and Susan Skelton (Adam).
In addition to her parents, Cindy is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Loudermilk.
