D'Mond was born October 29, 1998, to Derek McCoy and Cheryl Taylor in Petersburg, VA. He attended Prince George High School and worked in construction. He loved camping, hunting, hanging on the lake and playing both basketball and football.
Left to cherish his precious memory are: his mother, Cheryl Taylor, and father Derek McCoy; siblings. Terchera Newby, Cy'Reke Taylor, and Deryk'e Taylor; grandmother, Ethel Barrow; uncles, Terrence Vaughn and Darrell Taylor Sr.; great aunt, Anne Beale; great uncle, Charles Harris; two nieces, Aria Winfield and Cianie Winfield; Godmother, Shirley Winfield; God sisters, Makiesha Winfield and Ja'Toya Winfield; and a host of cousins and devoted friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, March 8, 2025 at the Petersburg Chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison Street, Petersburg. Interment will follow in Mount Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George, Va.
