Jaccob Barnes was born on September 12, 1991 in Richmond, VA, to Matthew Barnes and Christina Barnes.
Jaccob graduated from Prince George High School with honors in 2009 and went on to earn an associates degree in communications from John Tyler Community College.
Jaccob was in a relationship with Kathryn Gooden for five years and the couple had two children together, Seamus Heath Barnes and Roman Alexander Barnes. Jaccob also had another son from a different relationship, Mason Elijah Barnes.
Jaccob was best known for being a loving father, brother, son, and uncle. He loved his family more than anything and was very compassionate. He was spontaneous and wanted to make the best of every situation. His favorite saying was Love, Peace, and Light, which he showed to those around him everyday.
Jaccob is survived by his children - Seamus Barnes, Roman Barnes, and Mason Barnes; mother-Christina Barnes; step-father - Creston Tharpe; brothers - Trace Barnes, Brayden Barnes, Camden Tharpe; sister-in-law - Hailey Barnes; nephew - Boston Barnes; grandparents - Bob Newby, Hattie Newby, Holly Barnes, Jerry Barnes; uncles - Rob Newby, John Newby, and Rob Barnes; cousins - Maegan Barnes and Alexis Newby. Jaccob is preceded in death by his father - Matthew Barnes and his brother - Mason Barnes
Visitation: Thursday, at 10:00 AM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home
The service for Mr. Jaccob Barnes will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 AM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home.
