Dakota Donald Gebert, 26, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on July 8, 1998, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Donald A. and Hope M. (Clevenger) Gebert.
Dakota was very gifted mechanically, he enjoyed working on vehicles. He also enjoyed working on computers and cellphones. In his free time, he loved spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his grandparents, George and Pauline Mohr of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, Zach Clevenger of Payne, Ohio; sister, Alisha Stakelbeck of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Jamie Dinius of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Jennifer (Chris) Mitchell of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Katie (Tim) Garlach of Monticello, Indiana; uncle, Donald Clevenger of Monroeville, Indiana; aunt, Georgia (Dave) Kemerly of Avilla, Indiana; uncle, Dave (Susan) Gebert of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one niece, Kaiya Stekelbeck; two nephews, Leeson and Grayson Clevenger; and seven cousins, David Lee, Chase, T.J., Chelsey, Chad, Owen, and Clay.
Dakota was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Gebert; maternal grandfather, Jack Clevenger; and paternal grandparents, Dave and Radene Gebert.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana with Pastor Gregory Fries officiating. Burial will follow at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery in Monroeville, Indiana.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Preferred memorials can be given to Victory Life Church.
