On August 3, 2025, Dale Frances Dean Boyter, 70, passed away peacefully in Springfield, Tennessee, surrounded by family.

Dale is immediately survived by her sons William Brock (Shelley) Boyter and Andrew Blake Boyter; her grandchildren Jestin (Amy) Pinkelton and Easton (Haley) Pinkelton; and her great-grandchildren Xander Pinkelton, Axel Pinkelton, and Luna Pinkelton.

Dale is also survived by her brothers, William Lawrence Dean and Charles Christopher (Samantha) Dean, as well as a large extended family.

Dale was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Garner Dean and Verla Long Dean, and by her husband, Alfred Nile Boyter.

Dale was born on February 8, 1955, in Nashville, Tennessee. At her older brother Larry's request, she was named Dale after Dale Evans, the famous actress and so-called "Queen of the West."

She grew up in Springfield, Tennessee, and attended Springfield High School where she graduated in 1973.

Dale was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Tennessee, an active member of the DAR and involved with the Girl Scouts. For over a decade, Dale was head of the preschool at the First Methodist Church in Springfield, though she cared for children throughout her life.

Spoiling children was one of her great joys, only matched by her love of animals, hosting parties, and cross-stitching. Although Dale rescued many animals over the years, her Great Dane Maynard was her most devoted companion and a true love of her life.

However, Dale's greatest passion in life and source of pride was her family, especially her two children, Brock and Blake. Dale answered to many names throughout her life–she was Sissy to her younger brother Chris, "my little princess" to her father, and Ms. Dale or Momma Dale to everyone in adulthood–but Mom was, by far, her favorite.

Some of her happiest memories were times spent with her family, playing cards, cooking, and laughing–whether at the family lake house on Watts Bar Lake or at Perdido Key Beach on vacation. She waited all year to throw massive holiday parties, though Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas were her favorite.

Whether entertaining or not, Dale's hair was always done, and her nails were always red.

Dale was a force of nature, and everyone gravitated towards her vibrant personality and kind spirit. Her sharp wit, sense of humor, and boundless joy was as infectious as her laugh. She was endlessly devoted to her friends and family, and generous to all she met. Everyone who knew Dale was better for it, and she was beloved by all.

Special thanks to the NHC Springfield Care Givers and Pam Stewart for her weekly visits.
