Dallas Hugh Bowman, 92, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his residence in Spencer. Dallas was born in Greencastle, Indiana on September 6, 1933 to Ruben Hugh Bowman and Mildred Irene (Lewis) Bowman. He was a 1951 graduate of Cloverdale High School, where he was good enough to get a college scholarship but chose to get married instead. Dallas loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church with and spending time with his family. He was an avid Indiana University Basketball and Indianapolis Colts fan. Dallas retired from General Motors Allison in Indianapolis.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty' (Robertson) Bowman, children, Kathy Pryor, Judy (Steve) Royer, Steve (Alicia) Bowman, Teresa Meyer, Lisa Thompson, Vicki Hyatt, Terry (Dana) Mauder, Scott (Rachel) Mauder, a sister, Shirley Moore, and over 100 grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Margie Marks, second wife, Marilyn (Waggoner) Bowman, daughter, Kathy Bowman, sons, Dallas Bowman, Roby Mauder, son-in-law, Tim Thompson, brother, Dale Bowman, and brother-in-law, Edwin Moore.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Family of God Church, 2018 State Highway 67, Spencer, Indiana, 47460. Johnny Tinsley will officiate. Burial will follow in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, Indiana.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, at the Church.
