Damion Alan Barks, age 43, of Blanchard, OK, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born on October 19, 1981, in Oklahoma City, OK, and was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Damion married the love of his life, Melinda, on April 18, 2008, and together they had their precious daughter, Ainsly Rena`, born on August 3, 2014. He adored being a father and cherished every moment with his family.
He was a dedicated member of Movi/Forward Church, where he attended services with his family. Damion was employed by C & N Enterprises, but his greatest passion was working on Barks Show Pigs, his pig farming venture. He loved sharing his knowledge with many young people in the industry, pouring his heart into the next generation. He made a profound impact on many lives, especially those of the kids he mentored, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Damion was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bennie Barks, and his great grandparents, O.R. & Edith Fisher.
Damion is survived by his wife, Melinda, and daughter, Ainsly, of Blanchard; his parents, Cliff & Kelly McKaughan of Mustang; his siblings: Steeli Oliver and husband Taylor of Blanchard, Cody Musser and wife Amy of Yukon, Sawyar McKaughan and Jamie of Yukon, and Alysa Peterson of Claremore. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Christy Wilcox and husband Dave of Yukon, and brother-in-law Michael Wilde and wife Christina of Shawnee. Damion leaves behind his uncles: Brian Barks and wife Tara of Tuttle, Wayne Barks and wife Susan of Yukon, and aunt Teresa Byerly and husband Bruce of Elk City, as well as his grandmother Wanda Barks.
Known affectionately as "Day Day" to his beloved nieces and nephews: Jaxon, Jaycee, Jessie, and Brylee Oliver, Reeve Musser, Hunter Peterson, Noah Barks & wife Sarah, Presley Barks, Chase Wilcox & wife Kaila, Jaden Wilcox, and Jaquelynn Wilde. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, and loved ones who will cherish his memory.
A funeral service to honor his memory will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Life.Church in Mustang, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Damion's life, sharing memories and honoring his legacy. A live stream will be availbel for those who are not able to attend in person.
