Dan N. Casciato, 93, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of December 18, 2024 at Clen-Moore Place.
Born in New Castle on October 16, 1931, Dan was the son of the late Michele and Domenica Fagnilli Casciato.
On September 18, 1954 Dan married his beloved wife, the former Rose L. Morelli. Rose preceded him in death on February 24, 2018.
Dan had worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty-one years, beginning his career as a clerk and retired in management as the HR Director.
He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Dan was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Dan was an avid gardener and took great pride in taking care of his yard and the landscaping. He also enjoyed having his friends around to share in making home made sausage and wine.
Dan is survived by his son, Mark Casciato and his brother, Michael Casciato.
In addition to his parents and wife, Dan was preceded in death by three sisters, Philomena Bucciarelli, Jennie Mangiarelli and Josephine Casciato and one brother, Dominick Casciato.
Visitation will be on Friday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will follow on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Dan Roberts will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
