Funeral services for Dan Cline Hudson are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, July 17, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Tracy Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Bastrop, LA. The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, beginning at 9 AM.
Mr. Hudson, a resident of Sterlington and retiree from Columbia Chemical, LA, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of ninety-two. He was an avid fisherman who loved his Lord and enjoyed going to church. He was a member of the Sterlington Holiness Tabernacle and will be remembered as a Godly man who led by example. Mr. Hudson was a wonderful father and grandfather, and a friend to everyone he met! He will be missed dearly.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife, Theresa Hudson; children, Marsha Hudson Edwards, and husband Bob, Danny Joe Hudson, and wife Clara, Sonya Kavanaugh Rodriguez, and husband James, and Kenny Kavanaugh, and wife Marcy; grandchildren, Heath Alford, Kaitlyn Kavanaugh, Matthew Kavanaugh, and Patrick Daniels; great grandchildren, April Sherrill, Evangeline Nason; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Minor and Velma Dean Hudson; sister, Ina Mae Hudson Roberson, and her husband Earl; and the mother of his children, Bobbie Silmon Hudson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Finley, Kenny Kavanaugh, Shamgar Deatherage, Mike Fife, Peyton West and Tony Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Kirkland, Dave Hakeen and Wesley Jones.
