Dana Roscoe Foust passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 97. Dana was born on March 18, 1928, and was blessed to live a long productive life. The family and friends are comforted to know that he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dana was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Anna Lou Bailey Foust and his parents, Rufus Tillman Foust and Lillian Vermillion Foust.
He is survived by his four children, sons, Dr. Ron Foust (Patricia) and Tim Foust; daughters, Kathy Foust Keener (Bob) and Sandra Foust Smith (Terry); grandchildren, Stephanie Foust Owens (Dr. Jody), Jonathan Foust, Jenna Keener Leckenby (Keith), Adam Keener, Amy Keener Gillette (Josh), Kerri Keaton, Randy Smith, Leslie Smith Elmore (Andrew), Ryan Foust (Alicia) and Brooklyn Foust Hodge (Hunter); great-grandchildren, Abigail Owens, Abigail Smith, Ella Keaton, Catie Leckenby, Julia Leckenby, and Landyn Hunter; and great-great-grandchild, Kohen Haun.
Dana and Anna Lou were among the founding members of Trinity Baptist Church in Knoxville. Dana served faithfully as a Deacon for many years and loved attending church until he was physically unable. He loved worshiping the Lord with his fellow church members. Dana was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the water. He retired from Rice Oldsmobile where he was an Auto Body Repair man for many years. Dana was an artist with an exceptional gift to make a damaged automobile look brand new again. He was very involved coaching baseball teams at Fountain City Ball Park when the children were young. He and Anna Lou were also involved in bowling and had many great friends who they loved bowling with.
We are grateful for the excellent care Dad was given while living at American House Assisted Living and to the wonderful care he received from Caris Hospice his last days.
A Call at Convenience will be held from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike 37924. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Saturday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service, with Pastor Justin Keck officiating.
