Harry "Murph" Foust III

Murph was born October 16, 1958, in Norwalk, CT to the late Harry and Mary Creagh Foust. Sadly, Murph passed away on Saturday September 27, 2025, in Bethel, CT.

For many years, Murph worked as a school bus driver in Florida, Texas and Connecticut. He loved music (rock & roll) and was a very talented artist. He had a great sense of humor and a skill for making witty jokes. Although his sports alliances were to the New York Yankees, Giants and Jets, we supported him nonetheless!

More than anything, Murph enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his sisters Cathy O'Connor (Patrick) of Milford, CT and Maryellen Foust of San Antonio, TX, his stepmother Martha Foust of Thomasville, NC, Stepbrother Bill Vanak of Dandridge, Tennessee, and stepsister Karen Vanak of Trinity, NC. Murph was predeceased by stepbrother Richard Vanak of Danbury, CT. He has always shared a close bond with his nephews and niece - Brendan O'Connor (Kelly), Garrett O'Connor (Mila) & Rebecca Gomez (Austin). He was fortunate to have a good friend in Bethel CT, Louise.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Murph's service will be held on October 24, 2025, at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Murph loved animals, so in lieu of flowers, those wishing to may contribute to Stratford Animal Rescue, PO Box 1371, Stratford CT 06615 or to a charity of your choice.
