Daniel "Dan" Gregory, born on November 28, 1956, in Pomona, California, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was a man of integrity and passion, known for his lifelong commitment to the automotive industry as a self-employed businessman. Dan's notable auto service business, which he proudly operated for over 40 years, is a testament to his hard work and entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to his primary venture, Dan pursued several other opportunities within the automotive sector and was an avid real estate investor.
Dan was blessed with 33 beautiful years beside Donna, the love of his life and best friend. Together they built a life rich with laughter, love, and unwavering devotion - a love story that will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.
A proud graduate of Charlestown High School, Dan continued his education at Indiana University Southeast. He possessed a lifelong love of basketball and had an adventurous spirit that drew him to the open skies as a pilot. Those who knew him recall his joy while being on the river in his boat with his family and especially his grandchildren. Yet, nothing held greater importance to him than family, Dan and Josh formed the greatest father and son bond, speaking several times a day, sharing every new adventure that either was about to embark upon. This brought him the greatest joy, along with the boundless love he received from his grandchildren, Ellis, Emiline, Eila, Lennox, and Trenton.
Dan is survived by his mother, Anita Gregory; his son Josh and daughter-in-law Celia Gregory; his love, Donna; brothers Chuck and Cindy Gregory, and Harold and Romy Gregory; bonus daughter Amy and son-in-law Travis Spann; bonus son Michael and daughter-in-law Krista Doss both of whom he loved as his own; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Gregory.
The memory of Dan Gregory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of hard work, love for family, and zest for life leaves an indelible mark on everyone he touched.
