Daniel Eugene Bien, 51, of Greenwood, husband of Tabatha Christine Bien, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born on May 28, 1974 in Evansville, IN, he was the son of Margaret Ann Kallbreier Bien and the late Arden Edward Bien.
Daniel earned an associate's degree in HVAC from Piedmont Technical College, which paved the way for his career at Home Comfort Systems. Throughout his professional life, he was known for his expertise and dependable service in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
At home, Daniel was a devoted husband to Tabatha Christine Bien and a loving father to his three daughters: Piper Danielle, Willow Christine, and Davina Claire Bien. His daughters were his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent with his family. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Ann Kallbreier Bien, and stepmother, Janice Bien, along with his sister Angela Gardner and her husband Richard, two step sisters, twenty three nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He enjoyed planting vegetables and flowers, and he was proud of his green thumb. He enjoyed caring for his chickens with his daughter, Willow, as well as keeping an aquarium filled with fish and turtles. Daniel also loved hosting birthday parties and cookouts at their home, where family and friends gathered to celebrate and share good times.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Arden Edward Bien.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Andy Rousey officiating.
At all other times the family will be at the home, 3321 Callison Highway, Greenwood, SC 29646.
The family will receive friends before the service from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
