Daniel V. Breslin of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Doylestown, PA. He was six days shy of his 90th birthday.
The fifth child of seven, Daniel was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Hugh Breslin, Sr. and Mary (Molloy) Breslin. He was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia before recently moving to Bucks County, PA.
Daniel graduated from Northeast Catholic High School and earned a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
He was an entrepreneur, inventor, and world traveler. Daniel appreciated fine art, jewelry, antiques, and found almost all foods to be delicious.
He was adored by his wife of more than 50 years, Kathleen (Branigan) Breslin; his children Mark Breslin, Eleanor Breslin (Adam Meshkov) and Mary-Kate Martin (John); his grandchildren Harriet Meshkov, Madeleine Meshkov, Samuel Meshkov, Emily Martin and Elizabeth Martin; his siblings Clarence James Breslin (Carol), and Theresa Blank (late Donald) and the late Patrick Breslin (Teresa "TC"), Leo Breslin (late Agnes), Hugh Breslin (Karen), and Mary Greeley (late Jack). He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 am, with a funeral mass to begin at 10:30 am.
Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Crazy Horse Memorial, 12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730-8900 or www.crazyhorsememorial.com would be appreciated.
