Daniel Lee Carlson

Daniel Lee Carlson, age 72, of Rutland Township, Michigan, passed away on September 25, 2023, following a long battle of complications due to COVID-19.
Daniel was born on September 18, 1951, the son of Herman A. and Ina (Ervin) Carlson. He attended Lakeview High School, and worked at Fischer Body Plant, Lansing, retiring after 35 years. On January 29, 1990, Daniel married Susan Miles, and they enjoyed 33 years together.
Daniel loved golfing, watching various sporting events, and going to Tiger Stadium. He attended almost every game his son Eric played in. Daniel loved singing in school and church choirs and performing solos. He had love and excitement for his twin grandsons William and Joseph. Daniel could play just about any musical instrument. He loved flying a cub plane and riding his motorcycle in the 70's.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and sister Darlene Chrysler.
He is survived by his wife Susan (Miles) (Knickerbocker) Carlson, children Eric Carlson, Heather Cors, Lindy Knickerbocker, Heather Strimback, and Amanda Hawkins, many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to Welcome Corners Church, where he enjoyed singing.
