Daniel J. "Danny" French

Daniel Joseph French, a native and resident of Elmira, NY, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2024. He was just 40 years old.
Danny lead a colorful life. Born in Sayre, PA, he grew up in Elmira, attending Southside High School. He went on to work in the cafeteria at Elmira College, and then on to other pursuits. He spent time living in Dannemora, NY but was happy to return to his native Elmira where he did his best to care for his family, especially his mother. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and with his pets. He was stubborn at times, but was always kind-hearted. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert L. and Joyce (Przymusik) Wood, and his beloved pets Lady and Snoopy.
He is survived by: his fiancé Jennifer Sabins; his daughters – Harmony Daughtery and her mother Jessica, and Elizabeth French and her mother Misty; his mother Cynthia Wood; his brother Robert J. French and wife Sarah; his nieces and nephews – Marissa Forman and husband Corey, Trisha French, Maygan French, Jessica French, Robert French, Jr., Sabrina French, and Hailey French; his great-nephews Zephaniah Forman, Atlas Forman and Theodore DuBucci; his aunts – Bonnie Maliszesky and husband David, Barbara Jenkins and husband David, and Deborah O'Brien and husband Joseph; his uncles - Kenneth Wood and wife Bonnie, Joseph Wood and wife Karen, and David Wood and wife Judy; and his many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
