Daniel "Dan" Greer passed away in Estelline, SD on February 24, 2025.
No services will be held at this time.
Daniel Lee Greer was born on July 30, 1970 in Oak Ridge, TN to Jimmie and Maxine (McIntyre) Greer. He grew up in Ahoskie, NC.
On July 24, 2010 Daniel and Christina Thoms were united in marriage at their home in Dempster, SD
Daniel was a truck driver and owned and operated 'Greer Trucking' for 20 years. He loved the trucking business. He also loved spending time with his loved ones, family and friends. Daniel enjoyed fishing, camping and watching Nascar. Daniel dearly loved his dog, Rocky and his kitty cats, Cali and Tigger.
Grateful to have shared in Daniel's life are his wife, Christina of Estelline, SD; his daughter, Katherine Renee Greer of Paris, IA and two grandchildren; his siblings, Marlene Jarvis of Oak Hill, WV, Jimmie Randall Greer of Morehead City, NC and Jeffrey Greer of Lasker, NC; and father-in-law, Bruce Thoms.
Daniel will also be remembered by his special neighbors, Walt and Sue Pemberton, Sheriff Chad, Deputy Sheriff Tristen, Jodi Brenden and Howie Harrenga, Ken and Lanis Lantgen, Mary Jacobson, Vicki Summerside and Karen Denison; along with his trucking friends, Wade Tirrel, Brian Peterson and Jerry and Linda Puliska.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gregory Greer.
