Daniel "Dan" Thomas Hahn, age 58, of Eagan, passed away April 7th, 2025.
Dan had battled alcohol addiction for most of his life, and unfortunately succumbed to this disease after many years of struggling with his sobriety and a severe decline in his physical health due to this demon.
Born in Arkansas, Dan was an extremely talented musician. His passion was playing guitar. He had a wonderful singing voice, and wrote and recorded many songs with his best friends back in the late 80's and early 90's. He loved to go camping and spent a lot of time in the boundary waters of northern Minnesota with his father and brothers growing up - even spending his honeymoon there with his first wife. He loved animals, British comedy, and sitting in the garage with the door open to watch and enjoy a good Minnesota summer thunderstorm. He was a kind soul - a good man who lost his way and will be sorely missed by those who knew him well. He was a friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara Hahn.
Survived by his daughters who he loved dearly, Kayla (Skye) and Jennifer, their mothers Sue and Tracy (respectively), and his incredible group of lifelong friends, Steve, Wes, Tony, Jon, Jay, Rich, Bud, and too many others to name.
May he rest in peace.
Special thanks to Kayla's mother Sue for all her efforts in an attempt to better his quality of life and give us a few more years with Dan.
