Daniel J. Hart Jr., 82, of 33 Christian Drive died at Concord Hospital on February 7, 2023, after a short illness.
Daniel was born on June 14, 1940. He was the son of Daniel J. and Mary (Boyce) Hart of Chelmsford, MA.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and proudly served his country with the United States Airforce. Following an honorable discharge, Daniel became a firefighter and enjoyed a long and successful career as Fire Chief with the towns of Millinocket and Sanford, ME.
His love for life was equaled only by his passion for reading, boating, and joy for cooking, and fine wines. He will be dearly missed by all who know him.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn. He is survived by his loving children, son Edward Bradford, his wife Christine, and their children Elaine Bradford and Adam Bradford, his daughter Deborah Landry and her husband Daniel and their children Samuel Landry and Christopher Landry, his son Mark Bradford and his wife Kristen and their children Mallory Bradford, Sophie Krauss and Lindsey Krauss, his son William Bradford and his wife Freyja and their children Elise Bradford and Leo Bradford.
A memorial service will be held later in the spring. Family and friends will be invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the IAFF Burn Foundation.
