Daniel J. Kelleher, age 65, of Elkins Park, Pa. on Sunday April 28, 2024 after a prolonged illness. Born in Philadelphia, Dan was a longtime resident of Huntingdon Valley prior to moving to Elkins Park in 2021. Dan was a 1976 graduate of Cardinal Doughtery High School and a 1980 graduate of LaSalle University. He was employed as an accountant/ controller in the Reinsurance Industry for many years. Dan was an avid Philadelphia sports fan but his passion was for the Game of Basketball. He was assistant coach with lifelong friend Martin Jackson at LaSalle College High School, and went on to assistant coach at St. Basils Academy. In March of 2022, he was honored by the Markward Basketball Club for Decades of Philadelphia Basketball coaching. Beloved son of the late Mildred (Curry) and Ronald J. Kelleher. He is survived by his siblings Ronald J. (Maureen), Colleen, Bryan (Maureen), Kimberly, his nieces and nephews, Bryan R., Colleen, Bridget, and 3 great nieces. Family and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration on Monday May 6, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. Cecilia Church 535 Rhawn St. Phila., Pa. 19111, where his memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
