Our loved one, Daniel John Mancini, a loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, was born on Tuesday, December 17, 1946 and died on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He died of cancer at the age of 78 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his parents George Mancini & Mary Luttrell, the love of his life, his wife of almost 50 years, Diane Doucette Mancini, his son, Bill Mancini, his brothers, Bob and 'Big' Bill Mancini. He is survived by his children, Robert 'Ryan', Andrew, David and Megan Mancini.

Dan grew up on a cattle ranch in Golden, Colorado, the son of Mary and George Mancini, the fourth of 5 children. In his youth, he rode horses and acted in plays. Throughout his years, he loved to sing, play the guitar, and read books, eventually earning his Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dan was a Veteran of the Vietnam war. In his professional life, he had a career as an insurance underwriter to support his 7 person family. Above all, Daniel was a devoted caretaker to those he loved, especially his chronically ill wife and developmentally disabled son, who he took care of through each of their deaths. Dan was a dedicated member of a recovery community for over 25 years, his leadership and compassion illuminated the path to recovery for many, guiding others through their dark times. He will be dearly missed by those he left behind.
