Graduated from Trinity High School and Bellarmine College, he was an avid bowler, Duke fan and horse racing fan. Owned and operated Lyndon Lanes Bowling Alley for many years.
Survived by his two brothers David McCarthy, Jack McCarthy and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you for all of his caregivers the past several years.
His Funeral Mass with be 10 am Thursday August 21, 2025 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Wednesday August 20, 2025, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews.
In lieu of flowers contribution in his Memory may be made to the Mass of the Air.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
