Daniel Leon Mead (Dan) 79 years old, of Chino Valley, AZ passed away on December 3,2024 after a long battle with cancer.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. December 21st,2024 at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, Az.
Dan was born in Hastings, Michigan April 1st, 1945. He graduated from Prescott High School.
Dan married Jacklyn Bennett on July 7th, 1965 they were married for 59 amazing years.
Dan worked as a miner for Cypress Bagdad Copper Company in Bagdad, Arizona for 30 years. He then started his own business CornerStone Lands as a Land Consultant for the mining industry. He was still working for up to 2 weeks before he passed away. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. His greatest enjoyment in life was being with his family.
Dan is survived by his wife Jacklyn of Chino Valley Arizona, his daughter Kim Garrard (Travis) of Chino Valley, Arizona ,his son Cameron Mead of Elko Nevada, his granddaughter ShayDea Reynolds (Kody) of Elko, Nevada, his grandson Cauy Mead of Missoula Montana, his grandson Kade Meinert (Christa) Tucson Arizona, his great grandsons Wesley and Kashe of Elko Nevada, his brothers, Duane Mead of Aberdeen,Scottland, Phillip Mead of Paduka Kentucky, Darwin Mead of Nashville, Michigan and his sister Darlene Miller of Hastings, Michigan.
