Daniel Delmar Mohr Jr. born January 12, 1945, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the comfort of his home. He was a father, husband, son, and brother yet Dan was so much more to many others. Dan never lost the twinkle in his eyes, his love of life, or his faith in God. Dan was the son of the late Daniel Delmar Mohr Sr and Evelyn Peacock Mohr. Raised in Wilmington, NC he attended New Hanover High School, graduated from The Citadel, and completed his Master's Degree in History at Appalachian State University.
Dan began his career teaching at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Later in his career he became Director of the Dan Mohr Real Estate School in Greensboro NC for 24 years. Teaching was a life-long passion.
Dan is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cindy) and children Elizabeth Mohr Shaw, (Christopher) of Greensboro, NC and Daniel Matthew Mohr (Stacey) of Greensboro, NC. He was the doting grandfather of Joshua, Anne, Mary Staton, Millie and step grandchildren Maddi and Morgan; all of whom he was immensely proud.
Surviving also is his brother, David Mohr (Linda) and nieces.
Dan enjoyed his retirement at the beach spending time with family and friends. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed basketball, golfing, soccer, and traveling.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to MUSC, Hollings Cancer Center, 86 Jonathan Lucas St, MSC 955, Charleston SC, 29425

Danny was a great friend as we attended NHHS and played basketball together. We shared many school adventures together. My prayers go to his family. God bless you all. I don't know why I was lead to look for him today but I am hurting for his loss.
