Daniel Patrick Moriarty, age 88, passed away August 30, 2025. Born February 25, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James Moriarty Sr and Margaret Healy Moriarty. Preceded in death by brothers, James Moriarty Jr. and John Moriarty.

Dan worked for the U.S. Department of Defense for over 30 years and received many commendations. In his spare time, Dan was an artist, an author, and an inventor. But most importantly, Dan was a true Irishman. Wherever he went, shenanigans followed! He loved to make people laugh. In his memory, make someone laugh or smile today. Make the world a better place each day by your kindness and smile. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a message no one can steal" (Irish blessing).

Dan is survived by loving wife, Patricia Roginski Moriarty; son, Patrick; daughter Kathy (Wes) Ewing; grandchildren, Gray Paul, Nico, Siena; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. On Monday, September 8 family will greet visitors from 10 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church 807 Havens Corners Rd. Gahanna, Ohio. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Schools (NDCL.org) or Unbound.org. While there won't be any visitation at this time, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
