Daniel Christopher Morris

Daniel Christopher Morris was born in Joplin, Missouri on October 19, 1976, to John and Sally (Hammel) Morris. He died Saturday evening December 30, 2023.
Daniel was preceded in death by his oldest brother Shane Anthony Morris, grandmother Patricia Hammel, grandfathers Jimmy C. Morris, Leo Hammel and Bud Runge.
Daniel is survived by his parents John and Sally Morris, two daughters Haylen and Hope Morris, brother Dustin Morris (Erin), sister Johnisha McRay (Brandon), sister Jessica Shannon (Cody), sister Kayli Morris (Kristina), grandmother, Connie Morris, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Daniel spent the last 29 years working as a machinist. He was a hard worker that had perfected his skill as a machinist and was appreciated by his employers for his high standard of performance. Daniel considered himself an animal whisperer and never met a stray he wasn't willing to take home. He had lots of scrapes and bites to show for his efforts. Daniel was an avid cowboys fan and was always looking for ways to be active in whatever sport he could find. He loved telling you about the latest super spicy concoction he was cooking up and like to try stealing the ham bone from his mom's dinners to make his next pot of beans. Daniel loved his family. He was very proud of his two girls and always looked forward to family gatherings.
Daniel knew the Lord from a young age and we are thankful that he is resting in His arms now.
A visitation will be held at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058 on Monday, January 8th, 6 - 8 pm.
The Funeral Service will also be held at Mountain Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday January 9th, at 1 pm.
