Daniel John Mroczkowski has passed on the evening of October 16, 2023.
He is a survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter and son in law Jamie and Erick, son and daughter in law Joe and Steph. He will be forever adored by his four granddaughters, Layla, Kylie, Gwendolyn and Vivienne. He was a fun uncle to his nieces and nephews Michelle, Brandon, Brittany, Andrew and Amelia.
Dan lived a huge life and will continue to be unforgettable to everyone who met him. He was born December 24, 1956 and grew up in Highland, Indiana raised by his mother and father, (deceased) Helen and John (JAM) and his late older brother John and surviving twin brother David and sister in law Judy.
Dan attended Purdue University, making lifelong friends, joined the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and obtained his degree in industrial management. His career as a pharmaceutical manager moved him all around the US-he visited 49 states in his lifetime. Dan married his wife Donna on March 2, 1985 in Illinois and welcomed their daughter Jamie in 1987. They moved to New Hampshire and welcomed their son Joe in 1990. The family then moved to Kansas for a few years before settling in Minnesota in 1994. Dan's most recent job was working with Sherwin Williams in Brooklyn Park. He enjoyed the comradery working there and shared many stories about time on the job with his son in law, Erick, who also is a long term Sherwin Williams employee.
Dan had friends all over and had so many different hobbies and interests that he was an expert in. He was a lover of good food and drinks-he had great taste! He was an excellent hunter and fisherman that enjoyed his time spent at the cabin in Blackduck, MN. Dan was a lover of animals, and animals-especially dogs-loved him. He had several beloved dogs in his life: Melon, Stashu, Boomer, Thunder and his current Lab, Wrigley (named after the 2016 World Series Winning Chicago Cubs-that happened!) In addition to his own dogs he was a wonderful dog Grampa and Fakey Grampa to all the foster dogs he was around. Dan was a lover of all things outdoors. Some events he looked forward to every year was Deer Camp in Maine every November and attending Beef-a-Rama festivities in Minocqua, Wisconsin with wonderful family and friends each September.
In all things he did, Dan was surrounded by friends. If he was in the room you were sure to have a good time. We keep him in our hearts and minds and all plan to have a beer for him from time to time.
