His Legacy Phillip Edward Mroczkowski, 77, passed away on January 28, 2024. He was born on December 14, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Stephen and Julia (Dyka) Mroczkowski. Phillip married the love of his life, Carol Nugent. Phillip will be remembered as a patriot. He served as a medical technician in the US Army from 1969 through 1971. Additionally, he was a dedicated American Legion Post 419 member and a member of their honor guard. He also loved animals, owning numerous dogs and cats throughout his life. Phillip enjoyed studying history and collected a library of books about the military history of the United States of America. He also participated in several Civil War reenactments in Ohio and Michigan. His friends and family dearly loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
His Family Phillip will be missed by each of his friends at the American Legion, Post 419. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Mroczkowski, and his parents, Stephen and Julia Mroczkowski.
His Farewell Phillip's family and friends will gather at Borek Jennings Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024. His Community Farewell will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2024, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home. Mark Yurich will serve as the celebrant. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the American Legion Honor Guard Post 419.
