Leonard “Butch” Mroczkowski age 90, passed away on Sunday October 20, 2024 at LECOM at Elmwood Gardens. He was born in Erie, PA on October 13, 1934 to the late Alexander Mroczkowski and Christina Jereski.

He attended St. Stanislaus Elementary and Tech Memorial High School, where he played football. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he was an Electronic Technical Instructor, Aircraft Electrician and worked on the F1 Autopilot Systems. Leonard was stationed in Japan where he met and married his wife, Emiko. He returned home and worked for several phone companies before settling in Deerfield, MI. After the death of his wife in 2003, he returned to Erie. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club.

In addition to his parents and wife, he’s preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Constantino and Florence Biondi; and a nephew, Joseph Biondi Jr.

Leonard is survived by his nephews and nieces: Richard Constantino of Erie, Diane Lopez of Erie, Linda Chaffin (Bruce) of North East, Dennis Biondi (Barbara) of Cocoa, FL, Michael Biondi (Diane) of Cicero, NY and Sharon Biondi of Cocoa, FL. He’s further survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at St. George Catholic Church, 5145 Peach St. Erie, PA on Saturday October 26, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. Brian Vossler. Burial to follow in St. Gregory Cemetery in North East.

Family gratefully declines flowers.
