Dan was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Donald and Rita Nichter and grew up on the east side of Columbus. He attended Christ the King elementary school, Bishop Hartley High School, and graduated from Franklin University.
Dan was a public servant, teacher, and manager of various real estate businesses. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, golf and was an avid Buckeyes, Blue Jackets, Reds, and Clippers fan.
Dan is survived by his beloved daughter Danielle (Robert) Williams, siblings Michele (Osnowitz), Celeste, and David, and niece Sylvia (Brandon), nephew Sean. He had many dear cousins and lifelong friends.
Dan was a member of Saint Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, Hilliard, Ohio.
Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friday June 3, 2022 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel 6440 South High Street on the grounds of Saint Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation Central and Southern Ohio Chapter, 1170 Old Henderson Road, Suite 221 Columbus, Ohio 43220.
