Daniel Pereida Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberson Funeral Home - Alice on Jan. 7, 2026.
Dateline: Alice, Texas

Daniel Pereida, born on May 9, 1964, in San Diego, Texas, passed away unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Atanacio Pereida Sr. and Maria Charles Pereida, his brothers Juan Pereida, Atanacio Pereida Jr., Arnoldo Pereida, and David Pereida, and his nephew Mark Navejar.

Daniel was known for his big personality and unforgettable presence. He was truly the life of the party-always singing karaoke to country songs, dancing, laughing, and bringing joy wherever he went. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, and cheering on all Texas sports, and he had a natural way of making people smile. One of Daniel's proudest roles was being "Popo." His love for his grandchildren was unmatched, and the joy he shared with them created memories that will live on forever.

Daniel is survived by his four daughters: Amber (Anthony) Hooks, Stephanie (Andrew) Villarreal, Tiffany (Christian) Calderon, and Erica (Hector) Alonso; his 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brothers Rogelio (Mary) Pereida and Henry (Linda) Pereida; his sisters Oralia (†Mark) McRae, Sylvia (Juan) Sanchez, Oracia (David) Godbee, Lupita Zuniga, and Rosalinda (Jesse) Soliz; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniel will be deeply missed and always remembered for his laughter, music, and the joy he brought as Popo.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 09, 2026 from 12PM to 2PM with a service to begin at 2PM in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will conclude in the Chapel. A Celebration of Life and dinner will follow at: 1634 Rosario St. Alice, TX 78332

Have lots of memories about Danny, didn't got to know each other very much but he was a talented gentleman who can be on a track hoe, a back hoe or a crane rig, always heard he love to sing, always wish I could hear him singing, God rest his soul and to his family I wish God give you all the strength to keep going, rest easy Sir
