Daniel "Danny" Keith Pickett passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy defined by steadfast faith, unwavering loyalty, and quiet kindness. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, he was known by all for his integrity and the steady strength of his convictions.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jeanne Pickett. The two met when Danny was just eighteen years old and remained devoted to one another throughout their life together. He is also survived by his daughter, Brittany Filson, her husband Kyle Filson, and their son Grant; his son, Chance Pickett and his wife, Anna Pickett; his father, Gary Pickett; his sister, Michelle Pickett Thompson, her husband Jason Schaefer, and her son Brock Thompson; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Anne Pickett, whose absence he felt profoundly.
A lifelong Christian and faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ, Danny lived his beliefs through daily acts of service and humility. His life was grounded in devotion-to his Lord, family, community and country.
Danny served the State of Oklahoma with distinction as a probation and parole officer, a role that demanded both courage and compassion. He also was extremely active in the Fraternal Order of Police throughout his career. He brought to this work a rare combination of fairness, consistency, and deep empathy. He believed in accountability but, even more, in the power of redemption. He treated everyone he encountered with dignity and respect.
In the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing, Danny answered the call to serve in one of the state's darkest hours. Without hesitation, he entered the rubble to help recover those lost in the tragedy. Though he never sought recognition for his actions, those who knew him recognized the quiet heroism he embodied.
Danny cherished the simple joys of life: restoring classic cars, riding his motorcycle, listening to the radio with his dog, and gathering with family and friends. He was sharp-witted, strong-willed, and generous to a fault.
Danny never met a stranger. Whether at a swap meet, in his neighborhood, or a parking lot, Danny treated people like family. He loved animals, believed in hard work, and stood firmly for what was right. He did not seek praise or recognition; he simply showed up, again and again, for those he loved.
Danny Pickett was a man of grit, grace, and principle. His absence leaves an unfillable void, but his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the lives he touched, and the quiet strength he exemplified every day.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

I meet Danny back in the mid 70s working at UNARCO making grocerie baskets. He has been one of my best friends since. My cousin and myself had dirt bikes that we rode at draper trails. We planned to go ride at nite with flash lights on the bike and on helmet. Danny said he wanted to go. We rigged up my bike so he could ride on the back. We crashed so many times, one of the more crazy and fun things we ever did. I didn't know this was going to start Danny's life with motorcycles. I love Danny and will miss him and his laughter, but knowing he is a Christian, I look forward to seeing him again.

I have many great memories of Danny and I hanging out at Monroney Junior High School. Used to sing "Bridge over Troubled Waters and other Simon and Garfunkel songs in 8th grade...sounded terrible but we had fun. I´m a better person for knowing Danny.

My condolences to Danny´s family. I met Danny when I was a probation and parole officer. He was a friend to everyone. He had a calm presence while performing his job duties and a comedic ability during social events. He will be missed.
