Daniel Shryock Obituary

Born in Toledo, Ohio on May 2, 1953, Dan was the loving son of Donald and Margaret (nee McStay) Shryock.
He was a dedicated facilities manager in the medical building industry, having worked at Shriner's Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Mercy Health, UC Medical Center, and Ohio Valley US Tissue & Cell.
Dan was described by those who knew him as a man with a joyful heart and a generous spirit. He found immense joy in helping his friends and family, always offering a helping hand whenever needed. His passion for cooking, music, and bird-watching was evident to all who knew him, especially when he shared these interests with his loved ones.
Dan is survived by his loving wife: Nancy Jenkins; his children: Nathaniel (Audri) Shryock, Lucas Shryock, and Leslie (Jason) Amstrong; grandchildren: Arlo and Atlas Shryock; mom: Margaret (nee McStay) Shryock; sisters: Donna Kleiman and Dianne Oppenheimer; sisters-in-law: Susan (Joel Kresner) Jenkins, Kathleen (Ted) Bates, Patricia Maple, and Teresa (Rob) Herzog; and many dear nieces and nephews.
Dan is preceded in death by his father: Donald Shryock; his brother: Dennis Shryock; and his in-laws: Arlie and Alice Jenkins.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1175 Overlook Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45238 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Dan will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
