Daniel Stinson, age 85 formerly of Alvin, Texas, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. Dan was of Methodist faith and did his confirmation at the age of 12. He graduated from Alvin high school in 1957 and went on to serve in the Army in the 101st airborne. He was an excellent musician and played the piano, saxophone in a band and could sing. Actually, there wasn't much he couldn't play. He single-handedly raised his youngest son Stephen and helped start up a family business, B & K services. He had many loves, loved to travel with an occasional trip to a casino. Dan was very athletic, barefoot water skier and loved to parasail. Thinking fishing was his favorite activity. Chocolate bayou and bay was his favorite with many fishing spots and fished in many bass tournaments the fish feared him. He kept his family in supply of fresh fish. He enjoyed watching nascar, western movies and listening to Elvis Perhaps his favorite love was playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Iva Stinson, grandson, Dalton Sanders.
Dan is survived by his sons, Kevin Stinson and wife Susan, Daniel Stinson and wife Stephanie, Stephen Stinson and Katie Weldon, sister, Hazel Gully, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.

Dan was one of my first customers in the fuel equipment industry. He was great to work with, super nice guy as were his two sons Daniel and Kevin who worked with him at B&K Service. My condolences to his family.
