Daniel Vandergriff Obituary
He was born on September 16, 1946 in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Christenberry and Ina Mae Vandergriff.
Daniel served honorably in the United States Navy from 1964 – 1968, being Stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, San Diego, California, and Honolulu, Hawaii during his tour. He also served two years in the Active Reserves from 1968 – 1970. Daniel was an ordained minister, loved reading his bible, and spending time with his family. He was a kindhearted and loving person who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Malisa Donnelly, Daniel Vandergriff, Scott Vandergriff and Troy Egly; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ina, brothers, Herman Smith, Frank Vandergriff, Rudy Vandergriff and Samuel Vandergriff, sisters, Dorothy Smith and Daisy Gibson along with daughter, Jeanette Miller.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements in care of, Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
