Daniel Vargas, 37, of Tobyhanna passed away Monday afternoon September 1, 2025, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp.
Daniel was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on April 14, 1988, the son of J. Cruz Vargas Gonzales and Mary Lou Rios Vargas, of Tobyhanna. Daniel was educated in New Jersey and was currently working as a driver for Gotta Go Septic in Tobyhanna.
He was a member of Community Church in Tobyhanna and enjoyed fishing, coaching football, playing football, video games and sports.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Miguel Rois
Surviving in addition to his parents is his partner, Jackie Schenkel of Tobyhanna, children, Liana Vargas, Daniel J. Vargas, Delilah Vargas, and Isabella Vargas, Siblings, J. Cruz Vargas of Rosetto, John Vargas, Miguel Angel Vargas, and Gali Ann Vargas, and extended family members.
A gathering for family and friends will held at 12PM on Saturday September 13, 2025, at the family home on 112 St. Regis Walk in Tobyhanna.
