Mr. Daniel Lee Walker, Jr., was born on July 15, 1951, to Daniel Lee Walker, Sr., and the late Louise Walker in Concord, Georgia. He received his formal education in Pike County Consolidated High School in Concord, Georgia.
Mr. Daniel Lee Walker, Jr., accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at Old Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Daniel met the love of his life, his companion
Bernice Goodman, their love lasted for many, many years. Daniel was employed by Tindall Concrete Company for forty-five years, until his retirement.
In his leisure time he enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, Old School Cars, and hanging out with his family and friends. On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Mr. Daniel Lee Walker, Jr., name was called, and he answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Louise Walker; three sisters, Stella Walker, Ola Mae Walker, and Luddie Lee Pope; three brothers, Charles Walker, Leonard Walker and Walter Walker.
Mr. Daniel Lee Walker, Jr., leaves a lasting legacy, full of loving memories his daughter, Debbie R. Haney; son Alonzo Walker; his companion, Bernice Goodman; two
bonus sons, Scotty (Neametrice) Goodman, and Dr. Jarri Goodman; He leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Pastor Cadet King is the Eulogist, and Min. Robert Cousin is the Officiant.
