Daniel Ziemak Obituary

Daniel passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1949, in Painesville, Daniel was a lifelong Lake County resident, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Daniel was a 1968 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Cleveland and a 55 year member of I.B.E.W. Local# 673.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Terry (nee Forristal) Ziemak; loving father of Natalie (Govinda) Wind-Thunder, Stephanie Ziemak and Donald (Lizz) Ziemak; cherished grandfather of Kyron, Carlos Jr., Anthony, Chris, Alex, Julian, Nicole and Donald II; brother of Rick (Julie) Ziemak and Melanie Ziemak; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Ziemak; granddaughter, Chantell; parents, Donald and Mildred (nee Retych) Ziemak; and mother and father-in-law, Joe and Rita (nee Hearn) Forristal.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Willoughby Memorial Gardens in Willoughby.

Dan was extremely kind and always had a smile on his face. He was one of the favorite people in my granddaughter Millie's life. He did not hesitate to listen to her stories and pull a quarter out from behind her ear. He will be greatly missed. God Bless your family at this time.

Terry, so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. I think the first time I met Danny was when we lived in the log house on Jordan, and Danny came over, very angry, because our dog pooped in your yard. Didn't blame him. But that would have been around 1972-73. Long ago.
