Dannis Edward Witt

Danny Witt, 78, of Sundown, TX, passed away on April 23, 2025, in Levelland, TX, after a lengthy battle with dementia. There will be a memorial service on April 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral home in Levelland, TX.

Danny was born in Wheeler, TX on September 14, 1946, to Daries and Dean Witt. He married Janie, the love of his life, on November 17, 1973.

He worked as a compressor mechanic for Universal Compressions in Carlsbad, NM and eventually retired from there. Danny was an avid fisherman, who also loved to tinker with cars. When his children were young, he built an entire dune buggy from parts. That dune buggy provided so many amazing times for him and his children. He was an amazing man, who was never too busy to spend time with his family. He was the best husband, Daddy, and Pops anyone could ask for.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife Janie Witt, his parents Daries and Dean Witt and his son, Mark Drake.

He is survived by his sister Diane Hillman and husband Ed of White Deer, his daughters, Tina Strickland and husband Jonathan of Sundown, Kristi Kerzee and George of Lubbock, Danette Henderson of Borger, his sons Michael Drake and Emely of Washington and Darick Witt and wife Melissa of Borger. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aerin, Kale and Ryker Strickland of Sundown, Connor Kerzee and wife Jocelyn of Lubbock, Grayson Drake of Lubbock, Michael Drake Jr and Kirstin Drake of Washington, David Henderson, Ashley Shine, Devin Witt and Cameron Witt all of Borger, and 6 great grandchildren.
