Danny Keith Bowen, age 84, of Hazard, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his residence in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on October 11, 1940, to the late Taulbee Bowen II and the late Juanita Frymyer Bowen. Danny was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, whose dedication to service extended beyond his military duties. A passionate member of the Marine Corps League, he played a pivotal role as a founding member of the chapter in the Perry County area, fostering camaraderie and support among fellow veterans. Danny had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, often embarking on adventures that allowed him to explore nature’s beauty. His hands were skilled in building and carpentry, crafting pieces that reflected his creativity and craftsmanship. However, it was the time spent with his family and grandchildren that brought him the greatest joy, as he cherished those simple moments of love and laughter above all else. In addition to his parents, Danny is also preceded in death by his wife: Jane Bowen; and two brothers: Jackie Bowen and Jeep Bowen. He is survived by one daughter: Rebecca Bowen; two granddaughters: Jasmine Jent and Jacklyn (Ken) Smith; one brother: Scott Bowen; six great-grandchildren: Kendyl, Sophia, Aiden, Lilly, Roman, and Willow; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Maggard's Mountain View Chapel, 432 East Main Street, Hazard, Kentucky, and from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky.
