Danny Rene Branson

Danny Rene Branson of Plano, Texas passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024 at the age of 46. Danny was born May 5, 1977 in Duncan, Oklahoma, the son of Larry Rene Branson of Springtown, Texas and Judy Dianne Solomon of Duncan, Oklahoma. He attended City View Elementary School in Wichita Falls where he played football and attended high school at Poolville High School.
Danny eventually settled in the Dallas area and worked as a broker in the oil and gas industry for over twenty years. In 2003 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at CrossRidge Church, which was then First Baptist Church of Little Elm. Danny enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs, weightlifting, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends.
Danny is preceded in death by both parents and his sisters, Adrienne Woodrome and Amber Branson.
He is survived by his son, Dylan Branson and wife Kailey of Justin, Texas; brother, Shannon Woodrome and wife Christina of Denton, Texas; brother, Donnie Carlisle; former wife, Stephanie Reynolds; aunts, Connie Solomon-Smith and Ami Brown; uncles, Danny Solomon and Les Branson; cousins, Brandi Wilson, Sara Williamson, and Angela Williamson; and many nieces and nephews who will also miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Slay Memorial Funeral Center, 400 US-377, Aubrey, Texas with Pastor Marc Farnell officiating. There will be a visitation at 9:00 AM to receive friends and family and the service will immediately follow at 10:00 AM. After the service, interment will be held at Slay-Bloomfield-Jones Cemetery in Valley View, TX.
