Gerald Joseph Mansour, Sr. went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at the age of 63. He passed away peacefully in his home. We rejoice knowing that his new life in heaven has begun, and he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Savior. He was born on October 1, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio to Connie and George Mansour. Gerry was fierce and loyal. Family meant everything to him. He always greeted those close to him with a big, warm hug and a kiss. Gerry had an exceptional sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh, even in the hardest or most uncomfortable situations. He loved to gather people together and cook for them, even if he didn't eat himself. He was always the life of the party whether he was preparing flaming bananas foster tableside for a large group or telling jokes at the family dinner table. Gerry would go out of his way to help those around him and loved everyone the way the Lord calls us. He was witty and authentic; there was truly nobody else like him. Gerry was an accomplished Chef, owning and managing restaurants and catering companies that won many awards. He had a unique gift for creating delicious dishes and thrived off the energy that filled the room when every seat in his restaurant was full. Bringing people together with food was not just a job to him; it was his passion and joy in life. Gerry rededicated his life to Jesus in 2014. Laying his life down for The Lord, he never strayed from His side; even when he endured hardship, his character was not shaken. Gerry was audacious and charismatic from a young age, but after being saved he grew into a man who was also meek, humble at heart, and always shared his knowledge of The Word of God with others. His life was such a testament to God's redemptive work, and he loved sharing his story for the glory of God . Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, George Paul Sr. and Constance (Chirchiglia) Mansour; brother, Gary Mansour; and eldest daughter, Caitlin Mansour. We have immense joy knowing they are experiencing a magnificent reunion together in heaven. He leaves behind his four children - his daughter, Halie Mansour and significant other Andrei Wirth, and his grandson Adalai Wirth; His daughter, Taylor (Mansour) Jaillet, husband David, and grandsons Jax and Tripp Jaillet; his sons Gerald Joseph Jr. (Joey) and Nick Mansour; as well as his four siblings - brothers George Paul Jr. and Gregg Mansour; sisters Valerie (Mansour) Allen and husband Michael, and Vicki (Mansour) Wining and husband Dennis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a beloved father of four, Gramps to three, brother of five, and a friend to so many; a man full of life, personality, and humor who will be dearly missed. The countless memories he left us with will be forever cherished in our hearts until we are together again one day. A Private Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 for family and close friends. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.

Condolences to Geralds family and friends. I went to elementary and high school with him. He was always kind and caring. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A few pictures of him from eight grade not great but he was with his friends and his high school graduation picture.
