Danny Ross Day, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany. Born May 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Balford Day and Mae Day. On July 25, 2008, he married Martha (Newton) Day, who survives.
Danny retired from Otis Elevator in Bloomington, Indiana. Danny enjoyed doing carpentry work and playing the guitar.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Martha Day; one daughter, Sherry Day; two granddaughters, Tierra Killinger and Maddie; five great-grandchildren; one brother, David Day (Jody); one sister, Carol Fluke; one step-daughter, Teresa McIntosh (Brian); and three step-grandchildren.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Mae Day; two sons, Joe Day and Danny Ray Day; and several brothers and sisters.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no services at this time.
Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford has been entrusted with the care and arrangements for Danny Ross Day.
