Danny Jake Hinkle was born July 23, 1945, in Good Hope, Alabama and passed away on March 29, 2023, in Marianna, Florida. Danny graduated from Hanceville High School in 1964 and then entered the US Army upon graduation. Danny was a remarkable man who was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served his country with honor. He met Ms. Anne in 1987 and later married in 2012. Danny loved to go fishing, tinker on cars, grow vegetables, and was a very good cook. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Danny is survived by his wife, Ann M. Hinkle; two daughters, Kellie Williamson (Johnny Joe) of Swansea, SC and Bambi Budkie-Hinkle of Cincinnati, OH; two step-daughters, Roberta O'Neil (Tommy) of Richdale, NY and Joan Acken (Gerald) of Wingdale, NY; two grandchildren, Nina Davis and Tori Gray (Michael); nine step-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren; along with special friends, Jacob and Amber Hoover, Harry Sneads, Gary McIntosh Sr. and Gary McIntosh Jr. Last, but not least, a faithful feline companion, "Wacky"
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ethel Hinkle; one son, Joey Dan Hinkle; three sisters, Hazel Teague, Helen Arnold, and Anne Hinkle.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pope Cemetery on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM CST with Jacob Hoover and Rev. Charles Kleiser officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing.
