Danny Dean Langrehr, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 22, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on April 22, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, Danny's life was one marked by devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to kindness.
Danny is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Diane Swafford Langrehr, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. He was a proud father to his children: Chad William Langrehr of Missouri, the late Justin Langrehr, Brandon Langrehr of Walhalla, SC, and Nicole Wallace of Seneca, SC. Danny's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Hunter, Kelly, Huntley, Mason, Samuel, Savannah, Alex, and Brittany, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brian, Layney, Liam, and Hunter, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them.
Predeceased by his father, Lester L Langrehr, his mother, Florence Olsen, and his brothers, Lester and John Langrehr, Danny is also survived by his brother Terry Langrehr of Virginia and his sisters, Marianna Stevens and Sharon Keister, both from Iowa, and Zoe Macpherson of Minnesota. Each of them holds dear the memories of a man who was the embodiment of love and selflessness.
Danny served his country as an Army veteran before embarking on a successful career as a self-employed carpenter. His skilled hands and creative vision left a lasting impression on every project he undertook, and his professional demeanor earned him the respect and friendship of many in the community.
Those who knew Danny will remember him as the epitome of kindness. His selfless nature was evident in every aspect of his life, and his loving approach to his family, friends, and even strangers, left a profound impact on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
