ROBERT HART JR.
Robert Miller Hart, Jr., age 70, formerly of Cowpens, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his residence in Westminster, on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, who cared for him in his final years.
Born in Highlands, North Carolina, Robert was the son of the late Rev. Robert Miller Hart, Sr. and Carolyn Taylor Hart Hedgepath. He spent many years working as a shoe sales manager for Butler's and later for Rack Room Shoes in Gaffney, South Carolina. Robert was known for his charitable heart, his love for music, his ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone who knew him, and his ability to treat others as you would want to be treated.
He is survived by his son, Robert "Robbie" Hart III; daughter, Rachel Lynn Hart (Scott Lisk); brothers, David Hart, Chuck Hart, and Phillip Hart; and his beloved granddaughter, Margaret "Maggie" Mae Lisk. He also leaves behind a special friend and caregiver, Dawn Moss.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Deborah Suzanne Hill Hart, and a brother, Johnathan Hart.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, October 18th,2025 at the First Baptist Church of Mayo, 190 Mayo Road, Mayo, South Carolina, 29368 with burial to follow at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Glenn Springs, South Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the service at First Baptist Church Of Mayo, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 18th, 2025
The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted, or memorials in Robert's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
