Danny Jay Lighthizer, 68 of Nashport, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 17, 2022 at Adams Lane Care Center of Zanesville.
He was born on September 22, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Jerry Lighthizer and Betty Grant Lighthizer. Danny was a graduate of Zanesville High School and later worked and retired from Lowes Home Improvement. He enjoyed life with family and many friends, as well as his many kitties.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Lighthizer; brother, David (Kathy) Lighthizer; sister, Donna (Charlie) Teetz; nephews, Adam Lighthizer and Andy Lighthizer; niece, Michelle Montgomery; great-nieces and nephews; many cousins, including Pam, Sandy, and Jeff; cousin, Heath Curry, whom he thought of as a son; special friends, Tom Jennings, who was like a brother; and Diane Stine, who was like a sister.
In addition to his grandparents, he is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lighthizer.
The family wishes to thank Adams Lane Care Center and Buckeye Hospice for their loving care, especially Michelle, Tori, and Kayla.
No calling hours or services will be held at this time. Per his wishes, a dignified cremation will take place.
